James is doing so well. We had our "8 week" check-up today...at 10 weeks. Our little man is 13 lbs. 12 oz. and 24 1/2 inches. He's a growing boy. He is smiling all the time and making great little noises. He loves to "stand" and is figuring out how to bat at objects and grasp things that are held close to his hands. He's even doing pretty well with sleeping at night. He's given us at least one 6 1/2 hour stretch and most nights we get at least 5 - so he's figuring it out! Yeah. We love him. Seriously...he is amazing.
We took our first trip to Colorado...which is my excuse for not putting up pictures sooner. After my parents visited us in Salt Lake for a week, James and I went back to Colorado Springs with them to visit family and then Reid met us in Summit County and we spent a great week with his family in Breckenridge. James was a great little traveler - yes, he was a little crazy for a few days - it was all so new and so much to take in, but once he got use to things, he was his adorable, fun little self. So, here are some pictures from visitors and traveling and few that are just great shots of our sweet little man.

James & Grandpa - I like this guy!

Our little family!

This is James and his first try in the "Bumbo" chair...not so sure about this.

"The Pose" - This one's for you, Denny.

Uncle Kevin - James' birthday buddy...

Who is this guy?!

James and Auntie Catie! Yeah! James and I got to see Catie and Emily, and meet Emily's new son, Grady!

K, James, Catie, Emily & Grady!!! Crazy girls! Life got sweeter beyond the soccer field, didn't it?!

Aunt Melaine...soon to be! This is James with my first sister! Yeah! Melanie and Brian are getting married...soon?! Melanie, I thought you'd like the look on the little guys face.

Look at me...I can chew on my hand! Yum.

Sweet James - smiling away in his bouncy chair.

And...I can stand! Grandpa's helping me, but man, I'm good at this!

Now, how do I make these things move?! (No, no, not yet! Mama & Daddy aren't ready for that crazy stuff!)

James and Uncle Brian...who looks a little unsure of this.

Crazy guy.

And then there's this guy again...man, he sure likes the little man - seriously, he's irresistible.

James with Reid's cousins, Vreni & Sean.

Great Grandma Nielsen & James...chillin' on the rocker.

James, his Daddy, his Daddy's Daddy and his Daddy's Mommy's Daddy...lots of great guys here!

James and his Pa.

Don't worry, Reid and I are still around...James is just much more fun.

Isn't he cute in his hoodie - it was chilly in those Colorado mountains.

Popper doing what Popper does best...I hear that Popper has a picture with all of his grandchildren where he's holding them and they're crying...so here is the continuation of this tradition with his first Great Grandson.

Great Grandparents, Popper and Grandma, with the little man.
Okay...I will post more in a few days. I have some with my Grandparents and a few others that I'll put up - but I have to find them...and it's almost time for James to wake up from his nap, so I'm outta here! Enjoy! Hope you're all doing well!
Oh yeah! I've been waiting for new photos. Miss Jess needs a date with her little man :)
ReplyDeleteThanks for the new photos! Man he is growing like crazy - he is going to pass Carter by here pretty soon! It is so amazing to watch them develop!
ReplyDeleteHe is adorable! I loved every picture. It is fun to be able to see him grow up even though we live in NY. Thanks for posting!
