Misery in July...I mean Missouri in July (It's hot)

James took his first airplane flights last week on our way to a Sprehe family reunion at the YMCA of the Ozarks in beautiful (but very hot - right Kris?) Missouri. There were roughly two thousand Sprehes present (which is way more than should be allowed in one place) and that was only about 1/10 of the clan (maybe that was a bit of an exaggeration, but there were about 80 people all related through Kalyn's great grandparents). We had a wonderful time catching up with the relatives we knew and meeting a bunch of others for the first time - yes the family is that big. Also, we got to do some great summer activities like a ropes course, a zip line, rifflery, archery and canoeing (I dumped K into the lake...she loved it). The highlight, though, was getting to share our little man with everyone. He was definitely a hit! Enjoy these pictures from the trip and check out the new posts below (Kalyn caught us up yesterday so there are a bunch of new pictures) -

We were able to meet Jessica Hunt and her family in St. Louis for lunch on the front end of our trip. It was wonderful to catch up and meet her daughter Hannah and for me to get to meet her husband Aaron.

Various pictures of the ropes course and zip line - it is wonderful to be able to be big kids again!

While in Missouri an exciting event occurred: James rolled over for the first time! K's family was excited that they were able to witness this move. Here's a pic of the big moment...we were too excited when he made it over to take a picture of the end result - but he's been practicing a lot since!

James was showing off for all of us as he practiced standing up against the back of the couch.
